Claire and Wayne's wedding

As the father of the bride, I was warned many months in advance, that I was not to spend the day with a camera. So; as a gift to my daughter, I sought out a suitable 'professional wedding photographer' and paid for his services. This took some time, checking out their work and the feedback they had received. I live in Ireland and my daughter was getting married in England. Eventually, I came up with 3 photographers and asked my daughter to choose. To my delight, she chooses the guy I liked best. On the day, he was superb, relaxed, confident and just did his thing in the background.
All I have done in this slideshow is put together some of Andrew's mono work, with appropriate music.

Scotland A Brief Moment in Time
Evolutionary time is almost impossible to imagine
The original of this sequence used 3 full screen video clips, but unless it was viewed on a powerful desktop, the video was not smooth enough for my liking. When shown on a moderate Laptop, the video full screen does not work so good. Hence the reduction of the video to insets rather than full screen. In my view the video is a vital part of the whole thing with the music

Rose of Paradise

As every year, during the Advent's time, the members of the French forum Diapositif.net put each day an AV as an Advent Calendar gift.
Here is my own contribution. Unfortunately, the story is in French. Thank you to excuse me.
Here is the summary :
During all the Middle Ages, the archbishopric of Sens (60 km from my home) was very powerful : it contained 7 bishoprics, of which Paris.
This certainly explains why the Sens Cathedral was so innovative, and is now regarded as the first Gothic Cathedral (XII century) with the St-Denis Abbey.
A transept was added in the end of the XV century. At the south entry (for the bishops) is a big rose window, with Last Judgement details. At the north entry (for the chapter) is a (smaller) big rose window, named The Rose of Paradise.
I tried to describe this magnificent rose in a tale way :
One day, the designer of the rose, still without ideas (as me !!), falls asleep and dreams arriving in the Paradise. There, he sees 33... ? (well, you'll see !) And with the aid of St Cecilia, St Veronica St Étienne St Peter, and a magical mirror (the reflections become real !) he is now able to draw and paint the screen of the rose.
And later, in the middle of a Christmas night... But please, see by yourself !

Ever Higher

In March 2015, I traveled to the Sultanate of Oman, including the wonderful exclave of Musadam. Change of scenery guaranteed!
Oman is surely a place to (re-)experience the "Tales of the Arabian Nights". My travel ended in Dubaï: a sudden leap into the 21st century.
This slideshow is my reaction to this brutal change and a feeling of immoderateness.
Remark: the song is in French, but fortunately "New York USA" and "Dubaï UAE" have the same number of feet

The St.George Marathon, in St. George, Utah is one of the premier marathons in the USA. Not the largest in the country, but it draws runners from all over the country, for the privilege of running such a beautiful route. The event is always over-subscribed as runners of every age and ability rush to be early applicants. Our daughter Kimberly qualified on this course years ago to be able to run the Boston Marathon. This year my wife and I were able to go down as spectators. Kimberly, runs so well, and placed so high, I had to remind myself what an accomplishment it is, for any human, to run 26.2 miles!
In recent years, my most common use of Pictures To Exe, is for these "improved home movies", as I do what ever editing of videos, simply within the PTE program. Although many of my PTE presentations end up on Youtube as mp4 files, I still prefer the superior quality of PTE's .exe files. I welcome all comments!

Cornwall in Winter 2003
This Slide Show was the subject of a Video Step by step tutorial that was made for Digital Photo Magazine in 2003. The subject was making a slide show with PicturesToExe and it appeared on the magazine cover disk along with this slide show that was the subject of the tutorial.
I have adjusted the format of it a little for PC and Mac, but the slide show remains as was made in 2003. The slide show helped (a little) to raise awareness of PTE in the UK
