Remember
By raybridges
This was inspired by the song which I heard on the Royal British Legion Festival of Rememberance 2016. The words by Priestley I found very moving also. The AV
lasts about 6 minutes.

Jewelry Reflections
By Lin Evans
My late wife Sherry had Native American (Cherokee) ancestry and was an avid collector of Native American Indian art. For 35 years we traveled across the southwest USA to various reservations where we traded with native craftsmen and got to know many of them quite well as friends. I spent many years doing gallery art photography for many museums and galleries in the southwest and still stay in touch with a number of well-known artists. These are some of my images of exquisite American Indian art... I shared Sherry's love for both the art and culture of our indigenous people...

Civil War
Filters applied to images have not been very well accepted in the digital age and some of the blame for that can be laid at the door of some photographers. Those who think that adding a filter effect to a badly composed and exposed image, will make it appealing. Sadly, it will not.
The trick, in my view, is to use filters to create something more unique and for that we need to put in just a little effort, thought and creativity. The technique for creating the images you will see in this slide show is available as a video download from our Photoshop MasterClass section HERE

Memories of another visit to Venice. For photo experts - sorry I could not pack my tripod, so hand held at 3200-6400 iso; 1/15 - 1/30 shutter speed and wide open at F4. For audio experts, sorry recorded on my iphone. For Photoshop experts - I did what I could but don't look too closely. Having said that i hope you enjoy.

Landscape In Focus
By Mike Swain
Being a wildlife photographer, I spend many hours in hides and some of these not very productively. During recent wildlife photography trips, I have been taking images of the landscape around where I photograph the wildlife and have tried to make a slideshow of what I see on my visits. Never having made a slideshow before, I have relied on a lot of help from members on the forum, a really big thank you to all who helped. So if you can spare a little over three minutes of your time, please take a look.
Most of the images are in my local area of the Derbyshire Peak District.
YouTube always seems to compress videos so I apologise if some of the images are not as sharp as I would have liked.

Wild Scotland
By Mark Allen
Wild Scotland. 2013 - 2015, the Glencoe area and the Isle of Skye.
For those that might be interested the photos were taken with a number of different cameras - Nikon D300 (APS-C) , Nikon D700 (Full Frame) , Fuji X-T1 (APS-C) and an iPhone 4.
I bet you can't pick out which one was taken with a mere iPhone!

THE TREK TO EVEREST BASE CAMP

My son recently returned from trekking to and from Everest Base Camp and asked me to create a show from his photographs. As it is mainly a record of HIS walk, it is rather longer than usual at 7.5 minutes. Format 16:10.

India
By Mark Allen
A cacophony of pandemonium; sights, sounds and smells, people and pollution, resulting in a sensory overload. The poverty and rubbish are in sharp contrast to the armed guards at gated hotels, where there is not a single leaf out of place. On the streets; the children, who seem to have nothing, are happy and clean. It's confusing, sometimes most disturbing, but a wonderful place to visit and (for me) a once in a lifetime experience.
Following Barry's advice, I re-visited this show that was V1 in 2015. For some reason, it just didn't work for me. But it now does in V2.

Thailand

I had hoped this show could be good enough for a photo-harmony competition, but sadly I just can't get it to flow as well as I'd like. So, it's just a record of a recent trip to Thailand, i hope you like it.
