The Colourful World of Caves
By daviddare
It is amazing how much colour can be found underground, rock and minerals each have their own character which grow and merge together to form fascinating patterns. For these shots I used a more powerful flash that the pop-up one built into the camera, this was bounced off the walls where possible which in turn added their own colour. I guess I could have done a better job on the shadows with a brolly, but that might have been a bit frowned on.
This one won my local camera club AV competition last Christmas.

Sand Soda and Limestone
A technique I first used in an AV back in my film days some 20 years ago, but brought up to date and into the digital age. Its pretty good fun too. Use your PC monitor as a light, colour and texture source for transparent subjects like glass.

It's a Cubic World
By daviddare
Well this is my first upload so lets see if it works. We will start with a bit of surrealistic humour originally created with P2E 7 back in the days when you had to make your own 3D boxes. This one won the Xmas 2013 digital AV competition at my local camera club.

Mauthausen
By goddi1
Greetings, Yesterday, May 7th, was the commemoration of the 72nd anniversary of the liberation of the Nazis' Mauthausen concentration camp by the U.S. forces in 1945.
Our newspaper had a small notice. I thought it deserved more.

A Journey into Photography
Audio Visual can be used in a wide variety of ways, but for me personally I use it as a vehicle to display my images. Therefore the quality of those images is the most important thing to me. However, we still need an angle or a hook to provide a framework for what we are doing.
In this presentation I have used commentary and limited information to allow me to display a variety of images from every place we visited on a recent trip. I have also broken a cardinal rule of AV, but the least said about that, the better. Hopefully the quality of the presentation and the images, will overcome that....

Living on the Edge
Following a recent 7 week road trip down the East and South Coast of Australia, this is the first images of that trip presented as an audio visual. It sums up the drama and fascination we have with the sea and the music that accompanies the images must also be dramatic.

Jardin
By goddi1
This show is about our road trip from Medellin to Jardin, Colombia, to see if we could find the Andean Cock-of-the-Rock. Though it is the national bird of Peru, you can find them in Colombia, if you know where to look. My good friend, who lives in Medellin and is an excellent birder, knew where to find them. So here is a look at the town of Jardin and the beautiful Cock-of-the-Rock.
There is also a few shots I took of an Olinguito, a newly discovered (in 2013) carnivore.
To get under the upload size limitation, I had to remove one video clip and reduce the quality of the other. Critiques welcomed.
Come take a trip….Gary

Beamish Museum
By Simon Bull
The Beamish Museum in County Durham, England is a fantastic open air Museum. A brilliant place to visit, but to do it justice you really need two days as there is so much to see on a site that included working trams and old vehicles, a whole 1913 town street with shops, houses and a park, a pit village, a colliery, a farm, a railway station and much more. A visual treat. And already planned - a 1950's 'town'.
My images are the result of several visits last year, put together to give a taster of what you could see . . .
Thanks to James Pearson (Artistic/Musical Director of Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club in London) for his permission to use his music.

A Moment in Time
By Simon Bull
The Parish Church in my home village of Hathersage in the Derbyshire Peak District, UK, is currently (January to June 2017) undergoing some serious interior building work in order to improve the ancient lighting and heating. I have been asked to record the work - before, during and after. These are my photos of the 'before' taken at the end of last year (2016) . . .

St Maarten and St Barts Aviation
By colhill
Top of my bucket list was a visit to Maho Beach, St Maarten to witness the planes landing low over my head and to watch the take offs.
I was not disappointed at all. I also flew to the nearby island of St Barts to experience the dangerous landing over a hill and down onto a short runway.
I do have some shots of Sunwing Airlines, the airline that Ken Cox's grandson, Spencer is a pilot.
