Attending the Colorado Springs, Colorado Lift-Off balloon festival, I noticed that many of the balloon pilots liked to descend and "dip" their gondola in the adjacent lake before resuming their flight. To really do justice to this as a photographer, it would be necessary to be either precisely positioned on shore or in a boat in direct proximity, so I decided to attempt to create a realistic animation using PTE. The last image in this short series shows my animation results. The balloon descends while flying toward the observer, makes a small "splash" as it contacts the rather still lake then with a blast of hot air begins the ascent as the ripples from the splash-down begin to spread. Of course there is the reflection of the descending and ascending balloon in the water as two nearby balloons descend toward the observer. A fun animation to figure out and create.... I posted my old AV show to show possibility publish EXE show together with YouTube version on Slideshowclub. Insert YouTube URL directly to the main description of your publication. I recommend to add &rel=0 at the end of the URL. It will prevent from showing Youtube recommendations at the end of the show. Here I inserted YouTube share URL: Location: The United Kingdom, England, Cumbria, The Lake District. Music: Richard Goldsworthy - http://www.richardgoldsworthy.net

Hello All, Been doing AV shows for a while and this one struck me as a fun project to build. The music has been an "earworm" of mine for years and decided that it was time to make something of it. As I volunteer in 2 science-related museums and am a believer in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) education, I believe this may be a fun way to encourage study in those areas. Enjoy! Feedback always welcome Cheers!

This show is some video taken while kayaking down the upper Zambezi river in Zimbabwe, just above Victoria Falls, with my wife, niece and nephew. The video was taken years ago with a Hi8 camera, so the resolution is 720x480. The file is in MP4 format because the size of the exe is way too big. Plus, the MP4 format will give you the ability to scale down the playing size so the pixilation might not be too bad. I ran it through Mercalli to help somewhat to stabilize the video. These inflatable ‘kayaks’ were really unstable. One guy was quite large and kept falling out of the kayak. At one point, we saw a huge hippo lunging toward him, mouth wide open. We all yelled for him to ‘paddle fast’. And thankfully, he did and he did not fall out of the kayak. Unfortunately, I was also too busy paddling away to film it. I was afraid of getting the video camera wet so I brought along a couple plastic garbage bags. When things got rough, I wrapped it up. That was a good thing because on one rapid, I got tossed out with the camera, but it came out unscathed. Hope you enjoy the trip. Gary Oddi

A demonstration of some of the effects made possible using these Rain Styles and associated files. The associated files include PNG files for lightning and moisture/raindrops on windows, a couple mp3 sound files for rain, thunder, wind and lightning cracks and an AVI tutorial and demo style showing how it all works together... All available for download on the PTE forum... Lin

Greetings, This is a slideshow of my wife and I and a couple friends paragliding (parapente) in Colombia in December. I enjoy creating stories by combining videos with still images. PTE allows this to be easily done. I like the fact that you can extract the audio from the video and place it in the audio track to have complete control over it. Most of the videos and stills were taken with a Nikon D7000 DSLR, 18-200mm lens. A couple of videos clips were taken with a Nikon AW100 pocket camera. The slideshow is posted in MP4 format because the EXE format came out about 3 times larger. So I just got it under the maximum allowable size for the Slideshow club. I hope you enjoy it. Any comments welcomed. Gary
