As we approach the end of winter, a new slideshow.

This is my tribute to the classic Sci-fi film 2OO1 : a Space Odyssey, inspired by the Through the Star Gate sequence with my own beginning and end. All done with stills, no video, in Pictures to EXE V8.
You'll need a pretty fast PC to run the PC version without stuttering. I'm trying to upload the Video version which runs on almost anything but having no luck at the moment.
 

The disused Victorian Cemetery in Sharrow, Sheffield UK. Overgrown and dilapidated, it is now being restored. These pictures were taken before that work started.
The music is Cursum Perficio by Enya. It translates to "My Journey ends Here" which I thought appropriate.

A celebration of Autumn, as we call in in the UK.

Padley Gorge is a narrow gorge in the Peak District of Derbyshire England. It is wooded with deciduous trees and has numerous waterfalls, hence the choice of music - Waterfalls by Rick Wakeman.

Maybe now a good time to look at it again in light what is happening here in the U.S.

Greetings, On our road trip in Italy from Naples to Palermo, we just happened to stop in this town for a cappuccino one morning. It was just a serendipity moment that I recommend to anyone to make a stop here.

The Mayan people developed one of the most sophisticated cultures in the western hemisphere.

Before the arrival of the Spanish around 1509 the Mayan religion was characterised by the worship of Nature Gods, a priestly class and the importance of astronomy, mathematics and astrology.

Dance was one of the public actions and everybody danced; kings, nobles, priests and commoners alike.

A cruise around Ullswater in late October. 46.8mb in size and about 6 minutes long.

This was inspired by the song which I heard on the Royal British Legion Festival of Rememberance 2016. The words by Priestley I found very moving also. The AV
lasts about 6 minutes.

Royal Greenwich Park is situated in South East London.  During the summer months concerts are performed on the bandstand.
Greenwich Concert Band plays there every year.  The music "Greenwich Park" used in this audio visual was composed by one
of the band members and played by the band.

A short AV (just under 4 minutes) set to a Neil Diamond classic. Keyboard control enabled and about 36mb in size.

A short AV with pictures taken on a very cold morning at St. Thomas a Becket Church at Fairfield. This is a popular location for local photographers, but not on a cold morning.

Theses pictures were all shot in June 2016 while on holiday in North Wales. The file size is 35mb.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park, an area of beautiful valleys (dales), hills and stone villages.  The photographs in this presentation were taken mainly in the more westerly dales, which are the ones closer to my home.

My late wife Sherry had Native American (Cherokee) ancestry and was an avid collector of Native American Indian art. For 35 years we traveled across the southwest USA to various reservations where we traded with native craftsmen and got to know many of them quite well as friends. I spent many years doing gallery art photography for many museums and galleries in the southwest and still stay in touch with a number of well-known artists. These are some of my images of exquisite American Indian art... I shared Sherry's love for both the art and culture of our indigenous people...

A week last September 2015 exploring the towns along Lake Maggiore, the second largest lake in Italy, part of which is in southern Switzerland.
