1995 Opening
By Jeff Lunt
The title for this file is 1994 but it is actually 1995. One of the things PTE can do, many programs can do this with still images, is recognize the black area of the image as nothing. Most programs scan motion images as all the same whether they have blank spot or not. PTE can shrink a video by putting a letter box around the video. PTE has long been my go to program for shrinking video. This video of over 3 minutes is just 37megs. The video is one of my favorites and this is one of my favorite video openings. I hope you like it though its kind of small.

2011aug
By Jeff Lunt
Another short video from the past. I realize I had always deleted my video from the past and nothing is in the archives. I plan t to jump around and show some different stuff from long ago and I now can shrink some video files from the past and get a bit of continuity to some old stuff.

Utah Vistas
By Jeff Lunt
Filmed in the Onion Creek and Fisher Tower area of Utah. A word about the music. It is taken from a piece of nearly 15 minutes. I heard it for the first time when I was in the New Mexico Symphony in the mid 70s. It's a string piece so I wasn't needed as I was the Timpanist. I was sitting backstage in the darkness right behind the shell that projected the sound. As I listened I began to weep. I believe music is the most honest form of art. It has a beginning and end and then it's gone. Imagine before recordings when you could only hear it when an orchestra played it. And when you hear it, no words, to singing, no speaking, just sound. And it can move you so deeply. I hope this video with sound can move you too.

Klondike Bluffs to Camp
By Jeff Lunt
Tried to camp in one area and then moved to another for privacy. The road was something else, but the camp was secluded and quiet. The harder it is to get there, the better it is for camping.

Arches Entrance
By Jeff Lunt
This is part of the opening to a much larger video. It quickly heads into Arches National Park. The entrance shows nothing of the real park but the drive in is pretty exciting and fun. This is a few seconds of a 20 minute section of the drive in.

Vignette 1
By Jeff Lunt
Late February I went up to my favorite town, Moab, and spent a week camping in different spots. This short video is from my first day. I found an old highway and drove it and then camped and flew a drone over it. Day one was a total success. I actually got some stunning drone shots coming up soon. These will be short vignettes as the file size limit makes it a challenge but that makes for creative efforts.

3 Days 2 Nights
By Jeff Lunt
This is just a short adventure southeast of Albuquerque. I wanted to blow the stink off of me from the city. I get tired of the hubbub and need peace and quiet for a couple days. I drove south to San Antonio, NM and the east to Carrizozo and then west to Aguirre Dripping Springs Federal Campground. At $7 a night I actually could afford it. And I took site number 1 as the road thru the camp was 1 way and once you passed my site there was no way to come back. Me like. And it had a great view. Everyone else camped were up the road in the trees. Now that I've mentioned this I realized it isn't in this video. Hahaha. I'll post another with the actual site as it's pretty nutty. This video has a spot I camped at partway between San Antonio and Carrizozo. I got all the peace I needed.

Peace
By Jeff Lunt
A one minute show to watch multiple species take only what they need and move on. There is much to learn from them.

Adventure 3
By Jeff Lunt
I wanted to show a brief clip of how I like to camp these days. No more backpacking as my doctors say NO. It's okay with me as long as I have a 4x4 vehicle. My rig is a 4Runner named Ragnar. He was born in October of 1997 in Japan. He's a fine fella. No, I'm not nuts I just like to humanize things. Ragnar and I both look a bit raggedy these days which suits both of us.

2024 September Adventure Part 1
By Jeff Lunt
Since I haven't been doing still photography very much anymore, I'm going to post short vignettes from video files. Since the number of megs we can use on this site is small for video, these will be quite short. I am using some stills taken from video to fill out the show a bit. This was back in September when I was trying to time the fall color of the aspens. I was going to explore Utah with drone and action camera in hand and then end my adventure in Leadville Colorado. Leadville was gorgeous. They had a foot of fresh snow, fantastic white, and the aspen were in full color. By the time I got there my back was hurting so bad I didn't take a single photo. Nuts. As it was I had a hard time driving home to Albuquerque. Health is everything and mine is slipping. But that's another story.
