About This File

Early 90s video. It was shaky and blurred.  I ran it through multiple new software to clean it up a bit. Finally brought it into PTE to do it's majic with shrinking the file. It's only for smaller screens but it brings back great memories of things I can nolonger do.  It's just a walkabout but hopefully you'll find it fun.

Amazing location and great work with the refresh of your original work.  Sorry for your fall. Hoping you heal up quickly and can get back out there. Thanks for posting.

Response from the author:

Hey, Thanks Bill. I actually never felt too bad. I bleed a litre and needed a tranfusion but oddly enough I didn't need stiches. The scab fell off yesterday but it's still quite sore. I think it was like the boxers worry about...getting a rip on their eyebrows. They bleed so badly the fight has to stop. Karen had to laugh as the first thing I asked her to do was take a couple pictures while I was lying on the floor with blood all over. Same at the hospital. I've had quite a few rides on the ambulance up until now. I kind of enjoy it in a strange way. Thanks for stopping by. I hope to get some new video soon.

The effects from stabilizing the video are quite apparent, but you still get a feel for the fascinating landscape. Interesting that even there one needs insect protection.

The music works well as always

PS: Thanks for the MP4 file this time

Response from the author:

Yes, the effect is there but way better than totally unwatchable. I never got back there with the fine video equipment I have now. I did get back with a good still camera. Like many of us, when we have the time and wonderful new equipment, we don't have the physicality to do it. But it is a nice memory. I plan to get out again soon if my health holds up. I had a nasty fall Christmas Eve day and got a huge concussion. Here it is nearly a month later and I still have to wear large sunglasses to try and disguise my face. I might post a pic as Karen said I looked like a raccoon.  Thanks for the review, Jim.
