Well done.!

I agree with Ken that there are too many baby pics, but then this AV has a very small target audience and I suspect that audience might enjoy almost that many. But I would likely try to add more different ones, rather than repeat so many. (I know the repeats are partially due to the rapid transitions)

Talking about the transitions....  You did an excellent job in the first half of keeping up to the beat of the music, but the second half comes no where near the same pace. I feel pictures should always be in sync with the music.

Perhaps the slower pace of the second half is good as one might be exhausted after watching the full video at that pace

The sequence with the feet "vibrating" and spinning I found quite jarring

I am from the "old school" and made (boring to some) AV's with 99% utilizing simple fades, I came away from this AV a little with the feeling "Look what I can do" with the software. Just because the software can do something, doesn't mean you have to use all its functionality. (You did a good job using the functionality for sure, but I found it a little overwhelming.)

Ultimately the production is yours and you need to be happy with it. Your target audience will want to be happy with it too, or they might not watch it for the full length.

When producing a show it is always important to know who your target audience is before starting work on the show, and remember AV is "Audio"-"Visual". The two should go hand in hand and be given equal treatment and consideration.

That's my two cents worth, Don't feel you have to agree with it.

Hi Jim,

Thx very much for that. What I failed to state and possibly should have is..... We are a new division of our local camera club and the first task set was to create a slideshow using a matrix which consisted of squares thus that particular layout!!

I appreciate your comments!!

As with any thing, it depends what you want to do with it. As a record of your daughter growing up it is great and I'm sure all her uncles and aunts would be pleased to see it (if not Little Richard). You certainly have a very good knowledge of the capabilities of PTE and have used them expertly. I just wonder if this was done as a demonstration of those skills or of your daughter growing up. Perhaps less photos with a little less animation done at a slower pace may have been better, if you were thinking of competitions.  However, if your daughter loves it and your relatives love it and you love it that all that can be said. Well Done

Response from the author:

hi Mick,

Thank you for that! As I said to Jim this was a challenge set by our club which has just started an AV division. It was a Matrix challenge consisting of blocks!
