    It's a Cubic World

    Version 1.0.0

Well this is my first upload so lets see if it works. We will start with a bit of surrealistic humour originally created with P2E 7 back in the days when you had to make your own 3D boxes. This one won the Xmas 2013 digital AV competition at my local camera club.

    The Colourful World of Caves

    Version 1.0.0

It is amazing how much colour can be found underground, rock and minerals each have their own character which grow and merge together to form fascinating patterns. For these shots I used a more powerful flash that the pop-up one built into the camera, this was bounced off the walls where possible which in turn added their own colour. I guess I could have done a better job on the shadows with a brolly, but that might have been a bit frowned on. This one won my local camera club AV competition last Christmas.

    Sand Soda and Limestone

    Version 1.0.0

A technique I first used in an AV back in my film days some 20 years ago, but brought up to date and into the digital age. Its pretty good fun too. Use your PC monitor as a light, colour and texture source for transparent subjects like glass.

Greetings, Yesterday, May 7th, was the commemoration of the 72nd anniversary of the liberation of the Nazis' Mauthausen concentration camp by the U.S. forces in 1945. Our newspaper had a small notice. I thought it deserved more. Gary

    Living on the Edge

    Version 1.0.0

Following a recent 7 week road trip down the East and South Coast of Australia, this is the first images of that trip presented as an audio visual. It sums up the drama and fascination we have with the sea and the music that accompanies the images must also be dramatic.

This show is about our road trip from Medellin to Jardin, Colombia, to see if we could find the Andean Cock-of-the-Rock. Though it is the national bird of Peru, you can find them in Colombia, if you know where to look. My good friend, who lives in Medellin and is an excellent birder, knew where to find them. So here is a look at the town of Jardin and the beautiful Cock-of-the-Rock. There is also a few shots I took of an Olinguito, a newly discovered (in 2013) carnivore. To get under the upload size limitation, I had to remove one video clip and reduce the quality of the other. Critiques welcomed. Come take a trip….Gary

This is my first attempt at the digital book. There is a lot to correct because some of the 'pages' do not open smoothly and I am still working on it. I run a small Audio Visual club at U3A Noosa in Queensland, Australia. All the members are new to AV's and this is one of the projects.

Relatively little snow in the Scottish Highlands this winter. However, a couple of recent short breaks yielded just enough images for this slideshow. Res: 1920x1200. 5m.15s.

    St Maarten Sunsets

    Version 1.0.0

A few pictures I took of some glorious sunsets on the island of St Maarten Time: 3.13mins Size: 21,3mb
  19. Version 1.0.0

Top of my bucket list was a visit to Maho Beach, St Maarten to witness the planes landing low over my head and to watch the take offs. I was not disappointed at all. I also flew to the nearby island of St Barts to experience the dangerous landing over a hill and down onto a short runway. I do have some shots of Sunwing Airlines, the airline that Ken Cox's grandson, Spencer is a pilot. Size of file: 26,6mb

    Beamish Museum

    Version 1.0.0

The Beamish Museum in County Durham, England is a fantastic open air Museum. A brilliant place to visit, but to do it justice you really need two days as there is so much to see on a site that included working trams and old vehicles, a whole 1913 town street with shops, houses and a park, a pit village, a colliery, a farm, a railway station and much more. A visual treat. And already planned - a 1950's 'town'. My images are the result of several visits last year, put together to give a taster of what you could see . . . Thanks to James Pearson (Artistic/Musical Director of Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club in London) for his permission to use his music.

    A Moment in Time

    Version 1.0.0

The Parish Church in my home village of Hathersage in the Derbyshire Peak District, UK, is currently (January to June 2017) undergoing some serious interior building work in order to improve the ancient lighting and heating. I have been asked to record the work - before, during and after. These are my photos of the 'before' taken at the end of last year (2016) . . .

Just a quick demo of some capabilities of PicturesToExe which are not found in other presentation slideshow products. Text circling a rotating planet (Jupiter in this case) is something which can be accomplished in Photoshop Extended in the 3D Video section, but it results in a video being created. The text can't be manipulated beyond what is done in the video. The colors on the front and back of text can't be different and individual characters can't be in different fonts, etc. With PicturesToExe this is all possible and much more! PTE is vastly more versatile for doing this than even Photoshop Extended. This demonstration created in PicturesToExe 9 demonstrate 3D animated and orbiting text showing both front and back of the text - demonstrating color and different font characterists. It also demonstrates multiple layers and masking as well as use of RGBA alpha channel and chroma key extraction features. Many of these capabilities will not be used in the average slideshow, but are there for those who wish to experiment and try new things with this magnificent product.
