About This File

I got a chance to spend a week in the Mojave Desert and a couple days in the High Sierras. It gave me a chance to try out my new drone that my Nephew gave me in late December. I only knew the manual controls so I didn't overdo it. The sunrises were exceptional at the beginning and end of my trip, quite a welcome and farewell salute. All in all a good time. The show is about 2 minutes long.

So good to see you out in nature once again, Jeff.  And this time not only armed with your camera but also with your new drone.  Aren’t they a blast!  I’ll be waiting on your next installment.  Great Job.

Response from the author:

Thanks, Bill. I love the drone. That was my first outing. All I knew was what the sticks do. Lots more to learn. Thanks for stopping by.

Nice little show Jeff.  I see potential for you with the drone.

The sun certainly put on quite a performance.

The clouds moving at sunset, was that time lapse? How many frames at what spacing? It was very smooth.

Bring on another one

Response from the author:

Hi, Jim. The clouds moving at the end of the show was not time lapse. I just let the camera film for a few minutes and then sped it up in post. I used to do time lapse back in the 90s but lately, with memory inexpensive, I just let it run. Thanks for stopping by.
