About This File

A new slideshow of images taken earlier this year.

Situated on Europe's Atlantic edge, the Scottish Western Isles of the Outer Hebrides are a diverse chain of inter-connected islands with their own unique way of life and, it could be said, weather.

Excelent show, where the images and music come perfectly together to give that feeling of harmony that only the best of AV shows have.

Thanks for showing.

Marvellous as usual Maureen.  Our daughter in law is visiting from Cambridge Bay in Nunavut in Canada, on the shores of the Northwest Passage.  She was noting how similar the treeless terrain of the countryside look.  Will have to check what latitude the Hebrides are.

Downloaded the Mac version.  It did not work with my Sierra 10.12.6 system.  The zip file produced a single app file instead of a folder containing the two files introduced with Ver 9.  I looked up a work around created at that time where you just copy the Slideshow.dat from your Hebrides show into any working version of a PTE 9 slideshow and it works fine.

This is lovely. I really enjoyed the quietness of this sequence. I always imagine the Hebrides being battered by strong winds from the Alantic  but the feel of the music and the images evoke a peacefulness of the landscape. Super shots of  boats, lochans and the windswept machair with sheep showing how hard a  life might be on this land.

Thoroughly enjoyed this AV

Anthony
