  6. After more than 30 years my niece and I took a brief camping trip together.  She wanted to see a few of the spots where I liked to camp.  This was no little thing as she has been a lawyer in Phoenix for many years and isn't used to roughing it with her old uncle.  She spent 3 years living with me during her last 2 years of high school and first year of college so we are pretty close for an uncle and a niece. I picked her up in Grand Junction Colorado and we resupplied and then drove to Moab.  Anyway, we had a great time.  I removed most of the family pictures, except a few of Erin and Lefty.  I hope you can imagine the fun we had together.  By the way, Lefty has never made friends with anyone except me...but on this short adventure she and Erin became fast friends.  I had far more fun than these photos show, but I think you will get the idea by the end of the show.

  8. My late wife Sherry had Native American (Cherokee) ancestry and was an avid collector of Native American Indian art. For 35 years we traveled across the southwest USA to various reservations where we traded with native craftsmen and got to know many of them quite well as friends. I spent many years doing gallery art photography for many museums and galleries in the southwest and still stay in touch with a number of well-known artists. These are some of my images of exquisite American Indian art... I shared Sherry's love for both the art and culture of our indigenous people...

  10. Ultra High Def.  If you have an UHD monitor or TV then you will enjoy this.  Obviously it won't look much different on a smaller monitor.  I use a 43 inch UHD TV for my monitor.     Melancholy music due to the fact that I feel all things changing, and not for the better.  Enjoy it all while you can.   MAC version at HD or 1920x1080...much smaller file.  One of the fine points about PTE is that it will display the show nicely on your computer no matter what the size. File size is 109 megs...MAC version is 45 megs...

  18. Filters applied to images have not been very well accepted in the digital age and some of the blame for that can be laid at the door of some photographers. Those who think that adding a filter effect to a badly composed and exposed image, will make it appealing. Sadly, it will not.
The trick, in my view, is to use filters to create something more unique and for that we need to put in just a little effort, thought and creativity.  The technique for creating the images you will see in this slide show is available as a video download from our Photoshop MasterClass section HERE

  23. Being a wildlife photographer, I spend many hours in hides and some of these not very productively. During recent wildlife photography trips, I have been taking images of the landscape around where I photograph the wildlife and have tried to make a slideshow of what I see on my visits. Never having made a slideshow before, I have relied on a lot of help from members on the forum, a really big thank you to all who helped. So if you can spare a little over three minutes of your time, please take a look.

Most of the images are in my local area of the Derbyshire Peak District.
YouTube always seems to compress videos so I apologise if some of the images are not as sharp as I would have liked.
